This is a pair of cast iron glue pots, with the smaller pot sitting comfortably inside the larger one. The larger of the two is designed to hold water and be hung over a fire; the smaller pot serves as a double boiler and is placed inside so the glue can melt without sitting directly onto a heat source. They may also have been used for varnish, shellac or wax.

Made around 1890-1900. There is an old crack on the top of the outer pot but does not appear to go through.

Great for heating up anything over an old fire.
