Antique large heavy duty wooden mallet.
Was probably used for hitting in large tent pegs, perhaps for traveling curvy type fairs.
Metal banding with original steel nails. Well used by the indents in the ends.
Would have had a longer handle originally but from the patina on the end it’s been used like this for quite some time.
40cm long. The mallet head is 14cm diameter
